Discover Counselling

If you are struggling to cope with life right now, counselling may be a helpful option.

Life-changing events such as the loss of a loved one, a miscarriage, a health diagnosis,  divorce or a sudden  job loss can be overwhelming and difficult to process on your own. Counselling can provide a safe, confidential and supportive space for you to talk about your experiences, explore your emotions, and develop coping skills.  By working with a counsellor, you can gain insights into your own thoughts and feelings, and it may help you to identify the root of your problems, and develop strategies to help you to cope with life's ups and downs.

Who would be my counsellor?

Hello, my name is Kim. I understand that it can be confusing and frightening to reach out for help for the first time, especially if you have been keeping your feelings inside for a long time.

If you decide to try counselling, I will be there for you. We will work together at your pace and on your agenda to explore anything you feel comfortable sharing.

I believe that everyone has the inner strength to find themselves again, regardless of what they have been through.  I will strive to ensure your voice is heard, so you can explore your emotions, hear your inner voice and begin to trust your own judgments again. No matter what is happening or has happened in your life, we will work together to make sense of it all.

As an integrative counsellor, and work in a person-centred way. This means that you are in control of the direction of therapy, and I am just a passenger on your  own personal journey. While I may suggest helpful tips and techniques, you are always in the driver’s seat!

I’m here for you when you’re ready to take the first step.

As a counsellor, I am committed to providing you with the highest quality of care, respect, integrity, honesty, and sincerity throughout our therapeutic relationship.  I hold a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and  I am registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I  uphold their ethical standards.

Would counselling be right for me?

The best way to really know is to start. You may also want to talk to people who have received counselling to see if it was helpful for them. Remember, everyone is different and will respond to different types of help and support. Counselling is just one option.

I'm happy to meet with you for a free 20-minute chat over Google Meet or phone call. This will give you a chance to ask me questions and see if I'm a good fit for you. It's important that you feel comfortable working with me, so I encourage you to reach out.

To arrange our informal chat just email me . I will reply to your email within 12 hours of your enquiry, so please check your inbox. We can then  arrange a suitable time and date for an informal chat either via phone or Google Meet.
